"Mich" 1. There were a few surprised looks in my Rotary club when as DG1140 1987/88 I asked Mich to be my District Conference Chairman. The reasons, I guess, were because Mich was undoubtedly the most nonchalant, laid-back, easy-going member of all. But being well aware of his business acumen and his organising abilities, I knew he was truly "the Man for the Job" What a success he made of that conference - from Patricia's and my intimately involved view points, it was nigh on perfect. I am forever grateful for, and proud of, his wonderful friendship over half a century. 2.Another short but poignant memory of Mich is his much loved and well practised entry to a party (frequently wearing his gorilla feet) shouting "I am an Air Raid Warden!
